Hi there! My name is Marisa Kristine Hernandez. I'm a proud Mexican American, born and raised in the beautiful city of San Antonio, Texas, and now living in the vibrant creative hub of New York City.
As an actress, I’ve had the pleasure of working on various commercials, print campaigns, short films, and independent projects—including Spoken, Gloria Steinberg, Empty Paradise, and Wo(men) Go To Jupiter.
My journey as a producer began with a desire to empower actors and creatives by providing the tools they need to succeed. I started by freelancing on a short play (Off-Off Broadway) and a pilot series, which ultimately inspired me to launch my own production company, 22 Pictures. Our mission is to produce short and feature films that amplify the voices of women and minorities in the film industry.
Understanding how challenging it can be for actors to showcase their talent, I began creating custom demo reels that highlight each performer’s unique strengths. This has become one of the most fulfilling parts of my work—collaborating with exceptional talent and helping them grow their careers. Outside of film, I’m also the proud author of the children’s book Grandpa’s Our Hero—a heartfelt tribute to my grandfather who passed away in 2020. Writing has always been one of my greatest passions, and publishing this story was truly a dream come true. You can find the book on Amazon here.
When I’m not working, you’ll find me exploring the latest restaurants, testing out new recipes in the kitchen, or taking long walks in the park with my little Cavapoo, Mila.
